Most people never think much about the sun and what it means to us on Earth except for sunny days. The sun is constantly doing something that affects all of us. The sun produces solar flares, geomagnetic storms, solar winds and coronal mass ejections. The surface of the sun is responsible for “space weather”. Solar flares are explosions on the sun’s surface that launch huge amounts of X-rays, radiation and particles into the ionosphere.
We are in a time of solar minimum which is an 11-year period of hardly any solar flares, but we are still bombarded by solar winds, coronal mass ejections and geomagnetic storms. All the energies coming from the sun and from space affect not only each of us but our communication systems, power grids, satellites and airline flights.
The normal functioning of our brain is dependent upon a normal electromagnetic environment. We are electromagnetic beings and we are now receiving higher doses of electromagnetic energy that we did before. The increase in solar events causes us to lose track of time, thoughts fly away, we have difficulty sleeping, tossing and turning and having really weird dreams. Some people feel queasiness, body pains, phantom pains and dizziness. You can also feel sense of overpowering grief for no reason, vision problems, inner ear issues and inner-outer buzzing. You can also experience headaches, migraines, breathing issues, a tingly head, irritability and the list goes on.
There has been a recent study by researchers from Caltech regarding “can humans sense magnetic storms”. They have convincing evidence that changes in the earth’s magnetic field can suppress alpha waves in our brains. When you close your eyes and relax and daydream about something, your brain is filled with alpha waves, now try this during a magnetic storm. You don’t have that sense of relaxation.
Perhaps this can explain why so many people have anxiety that doesn’t feel like it is coming from their life issues. Researchers have long known that living creatures can sense magnetic fields – honeybees, turtles, birds, whales and bats use magnetic fields to help them navigate and dogs can be trained to find buried magnets.
In some of the participants in the Caltech study - alpha brain waves decreased in power as much as 60% in response to shifting magnetic fields. They are calling this “a new human sense” called “magnetoreception”. Most people in the study were not aware that they were being affected by the shifting magnetic field. Geomagnetic forces interact with sunlight to stimulate your hypothalamus and pituitary gland.
I am passionate about wanting to share with you information that can be affecting your life and that you probably didn’t know about. Now I hope that you will remember the next time you hear the words “solar flares” or “solar weather”, these sun bursts may possibly be affecting your daily life way beyond interfering with the grid and your electronics.
